ref:8c/907, the son of Fred & Adelaide Stokes (nee Wiliams).

S.S. Fort Longueuill (London) - a MOWT ship (Ministry of War Transport). 
7,128 GRT, Built 1942.   Torpedoed and sunk by German submarine U-532, part
og the 'Monsun' patrol of nine U-boats in the Indian Ocean SW of Chagos
Archipelago in position 10.00S,  68.00E, while sailing independently on a
voyage from Kossier, Egypt and Aden to Freemantle, Port Kemble and
Newcastle, NSW, Australia, with a cargo of 8,475 tonns of Phosphate.  The
master, 46 crew and 10 gunners were lost.
