Born during the June quarter 1923 in the Blackburn R.D. - ref: 8e/583, the
son of Henry Victor & Margaret Mary Agnes Brown (nee Leighton).

Flying a Halifax Mk III - No. NA674 67-Q with 171 Sqn they took off at 1735
hrs from RAF North Creake, Norfolk on a Bomber Support Mission to dispense
"Window" in the direction of Koblenz.

Presumably shot down by either Ack-Ack or a night fighter, they crashed at
Kenfuss, some 12 km SW of Cochem on the River Mosel.  The entire eight man
crew were all killed in the crash and are all buried at the Rheinberg
Cemetery, Germany.

He is commemorated on an individual memorial plaque in St. Ann's R.C.
