Born Clara Gibson Flatman on the 20th October 1909, the birth being
registered during the December quarter 1909 in the Prestwich R.D. - ref:
8d/320, the daughter of Sam & Clara Henrietta Gibson (nee Flatman).

1911 Census - 278 Collyhurst Road, Manchester.     Daughter - aged: 1 -
born: Manchester.  Head of household - Sam Gibson - Married - aged: 25 -
occ: Gas Meter Tester - born: Tideswell, Derbyshire.     Also - Clara
Gibson - Wife - aged: 25 - born: Hoder, Yorkshire.

Married Tom Heapy during the March quarter 1934 in the Barton on Irwell
R.D. - ref: 8c/1035.

1939 National Registration - 218 Winchester Road, Stretford.    Tom Heapy -
Married - Born: 11th June 1907 - occ: Storekeeper & A.F.S. Stretford.   
Clara Heapy - Married - Born: 20th October 1909 - occ: Unpaid Domestic
Duties.   There is one other record that has been redacted - presumably
their daughter - Barbara Heapy who was also killed in this incident.   Tom
was saved by being on duty fire fighting somewhere (Trafford Park ???).

CWD Report No. 101.    Died as a result of blast at 11 Coniston Road,
Stretford from where her body was recovered at 14.10 hrs on the 24th
December 1940 and taken to the Church Street Mortuary, Stretford.    Her
body was identified by her maternal father - Sam Gibson and released for
burial to her husband - Tom Heapy, 218 Winchester Road, Stretford.

Death registered in Stretford Borough.   Buried on the 31st December 1940.

Her daughter - Barbara Heapy was also killed in this incident.

CWGC - Daughter of Sam Gibson, and of the late Cara H. Gibson; wife of Tom
Heapy, of 218 Winchester Road. Died at 11 Coniston Road.
