Born on the 1st April 1904, the birth being registered during the June
quarter 1904 in the Barton on Irwell R.D. - ref: 8c/719, the son of Herbert
Vincent & Amy Biddlecombe (nee Bloss).    She was called ADA on the 1911
census return - cannot find her (Ada or Amy) on the 1901 census.

1911 Census - 27 Darley Street, Gorse Hill, Stretford.   Son - aged: 7 -
born: Stretford.    Head of Household - Herbert Vincent Biddlecombe
(father) - Married - aged: 34 - occ: Commutator Fitter - born: Hastings,
Sussex.    Also - Ada Biddlecombe (mother) - aged: 29 - born: Salford.   
Plus his younger brother - Albert Edward Biddlecombe - aged: 5 - born:
Sale.

Married Margaret Harney during the September quarter 1933 in the Barton on
Irwell R.D. - ref: 8c/1699.  They resided at 12 Skelton Road, Stretford
which was bombed.

1939 National Registration - 12 Skelton Road, Stretford.   Francis
Biddlecombe - Married - born: 1st April 1904 - occ: Wholesale Vegetable
Salesman.   Margaret Biddlecombe - Married - born: 19th November 1903 -
occ: Unpaid Domestic Duties.

CWD Report No.134.    A Vegetable Merchant, he was acting as a Firewatcher,
when he was killed by blast at 12 Skelton Rd, Stretford, from where his
body was recovered at 02.00 hrs on the 8th May 1941 and taken to the City
Road Mortuary, Old Trafford.    It was identified by his brother - Albert
Edward Biddlecombe ??? and released to his widow for burial.   She was then
residing at 82 Davyhulme Road East, Stretford.     Buried 12/05/1941 -
Burial No. 18,145.   M.I. - "Sometime, someday, we'll understand".

His widow - Margaret Biddlecombe died on the 18th April 1980, aged: 76
years.
