Born during the December quarter 1892 in the Llanwrst R.D. - ref: 11b/316.

1901 Census - Bryn Awel, Penmachno (Carnarvon), Denbighshire.    Nephew -
aged: 8 - born: Penmachno, Carnarvonshire.    Head of household - Elizabeth
Jones - Widow - aged: 75 - born: Penmachno, Carnarvonshire.   Plus 4
cousins and 3 siblings.

1911 Census - Eidda Fawr Farm Eidda Yspytty, Denbighshire.    Gwas - aged:
16 - occ: Cow Man - born: Penmachno Carnarvonshire.

1939 National Registration - No Trace.

A member of the Police War Reserve, he was one of six Police Officers
killed when a Land Mine fell onto the East Union Street Police Station, Old
Trafford  on the first night of the Manchester Christmas Blitz.   Four were
killed instantly - two died a few days later.

Died at Abbotsfield Hospital, Urmston as a result of injuries sustained at
Old Trafford on the 24/12/40.

Death registered in Urmston Borough.  Not commemorated in the Stretford WW2
Memorial Book.

CWGC - Constable, Police War Reserve; of 33 Winifred Road. Injured 24
December 1940, at Old Trafford, Stretford; died at Abbotsfield Hospital,
Flixton.
