it was one of 17 ships operated by R. Chapman & Son, Maritime Buildings,
King Street, Newcastle upon Tyne 1.

Travelling from Philadelphia to Hull, on the 27/03/41 she was torpedoed by
U-98 and sank in position - 59N 27W.   There were no survivors, and all 34
crew/passengers were lost.
