Formerly 10335 - Manchester Rgt.  Enlisted in the Manchester Rgt in
September 1914.    Cyclist Bn.

He had served 2 years at the front.

Received his Military Medal in June 1917.

The 23/08/1918  edition of the local newspaper reported that his friend,
Private Stanley Cragg of the A.S.C. had been awarded the M.M. for gallantry
in assisting Private Adams on the field of battle.      Private Adams had
been wounded on the battlefield and at great risk to himself, Private Cragg
carried his friend to safety - however, despite his bravery, Private adams
unfortunately died of his wounds.    His father John Adams, was in
attendance at the Altrincham Picture Theatre for the presentation of the
Military medal to Private Cragg by the Mayor of Altrincham.

His father, John Adams, died 15th September 1917, aged: 58 years and his
mother, Hanna Adams, died 15th June 1948, aged: 89 years.
