Born during the December quarter 1891 in the Chorlton R.D. - ref: 8c/804,
the only son of Charles & Sarah Procter (nee Birtles).

His parents were residing at  7 St. Ann's Street, Gorton, Manchester at the
time of the 1891 Census - presumably where Edmund was born a few months
later.

1901 Census - 35 Mayors Road, Altrincham.   Son - aged: 9 - born:
Manchester.    Head of household - Charles Procter - Married - aged: 35 -
occ: Railway Engine Driver - born: Congleton.    Also - Sarah Procter -
Wife - aged: 36 - born: Odd Rode, Cheshire.   Plus 2 elder sisters.

1911 Census - Derby Terrace, Brook Lane, Timperley.   Son - aged: 19 - occ:
Cabinet Maker - born: West Gorton, Manchester.    Head of household -
