Born 24th July 1882, the birth being registered during the September
quarter 1882 in the Prestwich R.D. - ref: 8d/390, the elder son of John
Robinson & Jane Elizabeth Oliver (nee Milner).

1891 Census - "Brentwood", Middleton Road, Crumpsal, Prestwich, Manchester.
   Son - aged: 8 - born: Manchester.    Head of household - John Robinson
Oliver - Married - aged: 34 - occ: Cotton Spinner - born: Manchester.  
Also Jane Elizabeth Oliver - Wife - aged: 32 - born: Manchester.   Plus 2
younger siblings and 3 domestic servants.

1901 Census - Park Road, Bowdon.   Son - aged: 18 - Scholar - born:
Manchester.     Head of household - John R. Oliver - Married - aged: 43 -
occ: Cotton Spinner - born: Manchester.   Also Jane E. Oliver - Wife -
aged: 42 - born: Manchester.   Plus 2 younger siblings and 4 domestic
servants.

1911 Census - "High Croft", Park Road, Bowdon.   Son - aged: 28 - occ:
Solicitor - born: Manchester.   Plus 1 younger brother and 3 domestic
servants.   No trace of his parents they were not at this address at the
time of the 1911 Census.

Attended Bowdon College, Manchester Grammar School and Corpus Christi
College, Oxford where he obtained his B.A degree (Hons) Law.   A member of
the Bowdon Boy Scouts.    He was a partner in the firm of Messrs. Statham,
Worthington & Co (Solicitors) Manchester.

Commemorated on the private family gravestone in Hale Cem.

His father, John Robinson died 18/03/1921 aged 64 years and his mother,
Jane Elizabeth died 04/04/1934.

Death reported in the 18/07/1916 edition of the Altrincham Guardian.    He
died in TrĂ´nes Wood on the Somme - 10th July 1916 (Unitarian Mem).

His brother, P.M. Oliver was the prospective Liberal candidate for the
Knutsford Parliamentary Division.

His father was a member of the Manchester Reform Club, 81 King Street,
Manchester.
