Household - James Warburton - Married - aged: 42 - occ: Lamp Lighter and
Day Gardener - born: Cheetham Hill, Manchester.   Also - Eliza Warburton -
Wife - aged: 41 - born: Manchester.   Plus 5 siblings and 2 visitors.

Attended Bowdon Parish School.

His father was employed as a Charge Hand at the POW Camp at Sinderland,
Dunham Massey.  

Enlisted on the 8th September 1914 and drafted to the front on the 15th
July 1915.

A shell hit where they were sleeping - killed instantly.

Commemorated on the private family gravestone in St. Mary's, Bowdon. Grave
No. 4377.

Spelt Sidney Warburton on the Altrincham Roll of Honour.

James & Eliza's 2nd son - Private Hugh Warburton, was serving in the
Genadier Guards.    Another son - C.Q.M. Sgt. Archie Warburton was serving
in the Royal Engineers.     The youngest son - Charles Warburton enlisted
in September 1914, but was discharged as unfit four months later.

Listed in the Guardian Year Book - Roll of Honour for 1918.
