Extra Information:
Born during the September quarter 1885 in the Chorlton R.D. - ref: 8c/658,
the eldest son of George William & Mary Annie Henshall (nee Smith).

1891 Census - No trace of him, nor of his mother and two younger brothers ?
His father was recorded as the Head of 106 Rose Street, Urmston,
residing with him were his parents. Married - aged: 36 - occ: Manager
Hardware Trade - born: Gorton, Manchester. Only those three are recorded,
but Charles' two younger brothers were born at Urmston. I suspect that
the enumerator missed them off his transcription.

1901 Census - Field House, Urmston. Son - aged: 15 - born:
Chorlton-cum-Hardy, Manchester. Head of household - George W. Henshall
- Married - aged: 47 - occ: Hardware Merchant - born: Gorton, Manchester.
  Also - Mary A. Henshall - Wife - aged: 42 - born: Failsworth, Manchester.
Plus 1 domestic servant. Strangely I can find no trace of his two
younger brothers that are recorded OK in 1911.

1911 Census - "The Hollies", Thorley Lane, Timperley. Son - Unmarried
- aged: 25 - occ: Solicitor - born: Chorlton-cum-Hardy, Manchester. Head
of household - George William Henshall - Married - aged: 57 - occ:
Hairdresser Merchant - born: Gorton, Manchester. Also - Mary Annie
Henshall - Wife - aged: 53 - born: Failsworth, Manchester. Plus 2 younger
brothers Harry and Frank and 2 domestic servants.

A solicitor by profession.

Killed almost instantly by shrapnell from an exploding shell.

His death was reported in the 18/07/1916 edition of the Altrincham
