"The Sky Their Battlefield" states - Serving with 46 Sqn, he took off at
09.05 hours, engaging in a Low Bombing Patrol in a Sopwith Camel No. F6285
when he was in collision with Sopwith Camel aircraft No C8391 and crashed
in position Sheet 57D 8.B7.8. 

He is buried with Second Lieutenant G.E. Dowler DFC, who was presumably,
the pilot of the other a/c that he collided with.

Commemorated on the private family gravestone in Hale Cem.

His father, George died 27/11/1920 aged 78 years and his mother died
25/12/1941.

Not mentioned in any of the "R.F.C. Communiqués".
