Born during the December quarter 1891 in the Barton on Irwell R.D. - ref:
8c/726, the son of Frederick Henry & Sarah Ellen Burrows (nee Mann).

Married - aged: 43 - occ: Licensed Victualler - born: Manchester.   Plus
his wife - Sarah Ellen - aged: 35 - born: Stretford, Lancashire.  Plus his
elder brother - Harry - aged: 10 - born: Stretford.  Plus nine staff.

1911 Census - 3 Carlton Road, Pendleton, Salford.    Son - aged: 19 - occ:
Library Assistant - born: Stretford, Lancashire.   Head of Household -
Frederick Henry Burrows - Married - aged: 53 - occ: Grey Cloth Agent -
born: Mancester.   Plus his wife - Sarah Ellen - aged: 44 - born:
Stretford, Lancashire.    Plus  his elder brother - aged: 20 - occ:
Furniture Draughtsman - born: Stretford.   His parents had been married for
21 years and produced 2 children who were still living.

His father was listed as being 'of Manchester' and died on the 22nd June
1911 - aged: 53.

Attended Oxford University and was a member of their OTC.

Drafted to Mesopotamia (Iraq) where he was wounded on the 05/04/1916.  He
was then sent to India to recover from his wounds.  However, there was no
improvement and he subsequently died on the ship bringing him back to the
UK.   Buried at sea.  The CWGC states that he is buried in Karachi
Cemetery.

Commemorated on the Delhi (India Gate) Memorial - Face 1.    Also
commemorated on the family grave in Sale Cemetery - photo on file.

Listed as a Lieutenant on Christ Church Memorial.

Listed in the Guardian Year Book - Roll of Honour for 1917, which states
that he died at sea.
