second son of John Lewis & Margaret Helen Coatman (nee Whitehead).

1911 Census - 31 Gladstone Terrace, Grantham, Lincolnshire.    Son - aged:
4 - born: Grantham.  Head of household - John Lewis Coatman - Married -
aged: 35 - occ: Engine Machine Shop Foreman - born: Saddleworth, Yorkshire.
   Also - Margaret Ellen Coatman - Wife - aged: 34 - born: Saddleworth. 
Plus 3 siblings.

Lands Officer with the Air Ministry.

Sale F.C. Centenary book states that he was killed while flying. 
Presumably in the RAF Sealand, Hawarden area?
