Born during the September quarter 1881 in the Barton upon Irwell R.D. -
ref: 8c/635, the son of Henry Bradley & Rosa Elizabeth Hawxby (nee Tarver).
 At that time they were residing at Ambleside, Gales Brow, Flixton,
undoubtedly where Harold was born.

1891 Census - 15 Abbey Street, Chorlton upon Medlock, Manchester.   Son -
aged: 9 - Scholar - born: Flixton, Lancashire.   Head of household - Henry
B. Hawxby - Married - aged: 45 - occ: Civil Engineer - born: Huddersfield,
Yorkshire.   Also - Rosa E. Hawxby - Wife - aged: 35 - born: Birmingham. 
Plus 1 elder brother, 1 lodger and 1 domestic servant.

His mother - Rosa Elizabeth Hawxby died in late 1891 in the Chorlton R.D. -
aged: 37.

First World War Widows' Pensions - His widow's address when applying for a
pension was - 15 Blenheim Road, Manningham, Bradford. Hilda was born on the
14th November 1888 and they had three children.   Dorothy - born on the
16th August 1909.  Denis  - born on the 16th May 1911.   Noel - born on the
24th Decmber 1913.  Awarded a pension of 21/6d per week.

Commemorated Manchester Employers Roll of Honour 1914-1916 under the Refuge
Assurance Co Ltd.  Also commemorated on the Manchester Regiment City
