WO363 - Enlisted at Manchester on the 5th September 1914.  Aged 27 years 2
months, he was born in the Parish of Middleton and employed as a Stock
Keeper.   He was 5 feet 5 inches in height and weighed 122 lb.  His chest
measurements were 32 - 34 inches, he had a Fair Complexion, light grey eyes
and Church of England as his religion.   Attended Divisional School from
the 25th March 1916  until he rejoined his Battalion on the 20th May 1916. 
Posted to France on the 30th July 1916.

Commemorated on the private family gravestone in St. Michael's Churchyard,
Flixton.

His father Albert, died 10/12/1926 aged 74 years and his mother Elizabeth,
died 27/12/1931 aged 80 years.
