General Information
This Memorial was sited above the main front door of the Sale
Memorial Hospital.

The hospital was demolished in the 1970's and replaced by apartments,
this stone is all that is left of the Hospital.

There was also a memorial clock & plaque in this Hospital that was
presented by Joan Scarfe, the widow of Lt. Philip Scarfe who was
killed in Normandy on D-Day 1944. This memorial is now lost.
If anyone can help with a photograph of it or its current
whereabouts, would you please contact me.
